This afternoon, I was asked to photograph and film Carolina Basketball players at the Dean Dome for UNC Dance Marathon. It was so much fun! Deon met us outside one of the entrances and took us "behind-the-scenes", down into the Dean Dome. Two Dance Marathon Overall Committee members and I hung out with Bobby, Marcus, Danny, and Deon, as they played their "air guitars", danced, and sang, to create a video to encourage the dancers at next weekend's 11th Annual UNC Dance Marathon (where dancers stand on their feet for an entire 24 hours to raise money for UNC Children's Hospital).
Unfortunately, the players will not be able to make an appearance, as they will be playing an away game at Maryland. Roy Williams made his way to the court, giving us a clip of inspiration to use, as he laughed and cheered on the dancers. After filming, I thanked the boys with a box of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory long-stemmed chocolate-covered strawberries. They ate them up!
