A little bit of an obstacle
Its Ashley posting for Carly because the communist government in China has blocked blogspot, twitter, wordpress, etc. Carly is going to send me some updates tomorrow and I'll post them for her so be looking for those! She is doing really great, get excited for more updates soon!

It seems that as of today, the Chinese authorities have blocked internet access to Twitter, Flickr, Bing, Live.com, Hotmail.com and several other sites. Wordpress, YouTube, Bloggerare also blocked.
ReplyDeleteAccording to early reports on Twitter and on blogs it seems that the Chinese authorities want to quiet down the entire major social networking and social media part of the web ahead of the 20th anniversary of Tiananmen massacre on June 4th.

Thanks Ashley for doing this - my class has been curious about her experience in China since she e-mailed us. One of my student's family is from a town just outside of Beijing (they still have a house there)
