TWitterrrer? Tweet. Tweet?!!?

I have to make a confession: I'm officially on Twitter. Yes, as crazy as that is. So, that means you should FOLLOW ME if you're already on Twitter, or get an account and get with the program if you're not (just go to www.Twitter.com and search Carly Brantmeyer under "Find People")!

I'm honestly still not entirely sure what the purpose of Twitter is completely, although I'm trying to stay open-minded about this CRAZE that seems to be buzzing and "tweet tweeting" all around our country. Twitter has literally come up in nearly every conversation in the past week or so, to some extent. So, I thought, "What the heck. Why not give it a try?" After all, there must be some reason this gadget's got people riled up. And hey, if Obama has Twitter, then why shouldn't I? Right? (Speaking of Obama, I cannot believe that it's already been 100 days--WOW.)

Back in my close-minded Twitter days, I literally Googled (oh my goodness we're just turning social networks and search engines into all sorts of verbs and adjectives these days) "What is the purpose of Twitter?" and "Anti-Twitter arguments," because I thought Twitter sounded like the most pointless, absurd, time-consuming site ever created. But after reading a "pro" in a Twitter "hate/love" article, I realized that it is essentially a log of mini blog posts, and after all, I understand the value of a blog!

I guess I'll start "tweeting" and see what happens...
