Today Kenz and I navigated ourselves to Azbury Dunwell Methodist Church, the church that we call "home", here in Ghana--it's definitely been our favorite place so far. It was an amazing service as usual, with joyful praise and worship.
Sermon tidbits-The guy who wrote the book "The 100 Things you Must Do Before you Die" died in August of this year. He was only in his mid-40s, and he had only accomplished about 50 of the 100 suggested things in his own book. Pastor John Christie noted that the ONLY thing that was not on the list was, in his opinion, the ONLY thing that he (Christie) would have included, if he had written his own version of the book--"Give your life to Jesus Christ." He said that it would have undoubtedly been the "#1" thing on his list, and that after that, you could forget the other "99", because that is all that matters, and the rest will follow. How true.
What would you put on your list of "100 Things to Do Before you Die?"
Other Sermon Notes: (based on Psalm 37)--these should be a part of our daily life-song.
1. Don't worry (verses 1 & 2)
2. Trust and do good (verse 3)
3. Delight in the Lord (verse 4)
4. Commit everything to God (verse 5)
5. Be STILL.
