Project Polaroid Update

As I mentioned a few blogs back, we were able to launch Project Polaroid, here in Ghana. McKenzie, Maggie, and I spent the afternoon at Miss Jane's house (she's our seamstress at our hostel). She has a family of 13ish and invited us over one Sunday for an authentic Ghanaian meal. After the meal, I busted out the Polaroid camera and everyone went crazy. Above are a few photos from that afternoon...

We are still working on getting involved with an orphanage and a school in the area. Once we are plugged in somewhere, I hope to continue many launches of Project Polaroid.

It's crazy how many children there are in Ghana. It seems like in the most unexpected moments, we drive among the most unexpected and poor places. Outreach opportunities are all around us and seem to be frequently unplanned. I guess that is how God works---in unexpected moments. I will start carrying my Polaroid camera and extra film with me wherever I go, and will post updates and accompanying stories when possible.
